The Robert F. Schaper Heart Center is a comprehensive cardiac care center dedicated to the discovery, management and control of cardiac disease in the adult population. Our team of experts uses specialized resources to treat heart disease—including prevention programs, diagnostics, treatment and a rehabilitation program that prepares heart patients for their journey to better health.

Quality Care

We have been recognized among the top 10 percent of performing hospitals in the country in cardiac care, according to the CRUSADE study commissioned by Duke University, a leading educational researcher in cardiovascular disease and treatment. More than 600 hospitals nationwide were measured on their responsiveness, diagnosis and treatment of chest pain patients arriving at a hospital's emergency department. The Outstanding Care Award is given to only those hospitals with the best treatment practices and outcomes.

Tomball Regional was also the first in the nation to be awarded the Gold Seal of Approval by The Joint Commission. More than 60,000 patients have been monitored nationwide, and this award has only been presented to a handful of hospitals. We have received disease-specific accreditation for treatment practices of heart failure patients as well as acute coronary syndrome.
