The attending physician is primarily responsible for your care. All tests, medications, and consultations with other specialists are performed or administered under your attending physician’s supervision. If you are not under the care of an attending physician affiliated with Tomball Regional Medical Center, a physician will be assigned to you. Physicians, Anesthesiologists, Radiologists, and Pathologists are not employees of Tomball Regional Medical Center, but are contracted providers. You may receive a separate bill for any services provided by them.
Our nursing team is committed to providing comprehensive care to patients, each of whom requires different levels of personal attention and expert skills. You will be assigned a nurse who will coordinate a thorough nursing assessment, plan of care, and continuous monitoring of your health status throughout your hospitalization. Other caregivers, under the direction of the registered nurse, will be a assigned to care for you. A Charge Nurse is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care on each unit. Please feel free to contact your nurse or the Charge Nurse if you have questions or concerns.
The Case Management Team coordinates patient care needs across the health care continuum. As patient care needs are identified, the Case Manager works with the interdisciplinary team to develop a plan to address those needs. In addition, the Case Manager is an advocate providing the balance between cost and quality. The goal of Case Management is to achieve optimal patient outcomes while ensuring appropriate use of health care resources.
The Social Service Team works closely with the Case Management Team in their effort to coordinate patient care needs across the health care continuum. Social workers are assigned to each patient care area and are trained to help patients and family members deal with financial, social, and emotional problems that relate to illness or hospitalization. We strive to ensure that your room is thoroughly prepared for your arrival and we sincerely hope that you find it to your satisfaction. Should you require fresh towels or your trash emptied, please contact your nurse.
A member of the housekeeping staff cleans your room on a daily basis between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. If there is a housekeeping issue in your room, tell your nurse. It will be taken care of as soon as possible.
The energetic people dressed in cherry pink and white and also candy stripes are our hospital volunteers. They are our friends and neighbors from the community who provide those supplement services that contribute to total patient care and make the patient’s stay more pleasant.
