The room assignment is based upon your admitting diagnosis and the bed availability on the day of your admission. All patient rooms at Tomball Regional Medical Center are private.
Each patient room has a cultured marble top personal desk, a vanity counter, a sink and a private restroom and closet. Window seats are convertible for guests wishing to stay over night.
VIP suites are also available, they include extra square footage and a separate living area. Extra fees apply.
All rooms in the hospital are centrally heated and air-conditioned. If the temperature in your room is not comfortable, please notify the nursing staff and they will adjust it for you.
All patient rooms are equipped with an intercom system. Patient bathrooms are also equipped with an emergency call system. The nursing staff will give instruction on how to use the various controls in your room.
Please stay in bed after you have been prepared for the night. Strange surroundings and sleeping medications may create a hazard if you get out of bed. For assistance during the night, use your call button, and someone will promptly assist you.
Color television sets are provided in each room for your enjoyment. Please be considerate of other patients and keep the volume low.
Telephones are provided in each room for your convenience. If you find your telephone is not functioning, please let your nurse know so that arrangements can be made. Local calls can be dialed at any time by dialing 9 + area code + number.
Long distance toll calls can be made at any time by dialing 9 + 0 + area code + number. Hear a tone and give your credit card number or wait for an operator for assistance. Long distance calls cannot be charged to your room. You can use a telephone calling card or major credit card, or make a collect call. Telephone calling cards are available in Gift Shop.
Please give your phone number to friends and family so that they can dial you directly. Your friends and family would dial 281 - 401 - 3 + (room number). Example: Room 245, friends and family would dial 281.401.3245.
Please check with your physician or nurse to determine if you have walking privileges. An escort may be necessary even if you do have walking privileges. Please notify your nurse upon leaving and returning to the unit. It is important to stay in your room until your doctor has made rounds and treatments have been completed.
