ATMs

The Regions Bank ATM is located near the main entrance of the hospital across from the tower glass elevators. An additional ATM is located near the Emergency Waiting room area.

Blood Donation

Visitors and relatives willing to donate blood in the name of Tomball Regional Medical Center patients should contact the Gulf Coast Blood Center for more information at 713-790-1200.

Fourth Friday of every month from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Tomball Regional Medical Center hosts a Blood Drive. The Blood Center's mobile coach will be located outside the Diagnostic Center on the south side of Tomball Regional Medical Center. Walk-in donors are welcome.

Chapel

The chapel is located near the north lobby between the Robert F. Schaper Heart Center registration area and Cardiac Rehabilitation. The chapel is open 24 hours a day for your convenience and spiritual needs. “Prayer Request Cards” are located on the chapel alter and at the Tower Lobby Information Desk, and can be completed at your leisure. A chapel service is held every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. for patients, visitors, and staff in the 2nd floor conference room.

Chaplain Services

In order to meet the spiritual needs of patients and their significant others, a volunteer “On-Call” chaplain from the Chaplain’s Association is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Chaplain’s Association is a group of local pastors from area churches who volunteer their time to serve as Hospital Chaplain.

Please notify your nurse, case manager, or social worker if you have a specific need for a chaplain to visit. The staff will notify the “On-Call” chaplain of your request. The chaplains also have a “Prayer Request Cards” which are located in all hospital waiting rooms for you and or your family to complete. We would also be glad to assist in contacting your minister for you.

Gift Shop

The volunteer gift ship is located in the tower lobby and is open 7 days a week. Hours are posted on the gift shop door. It stocks candy, drinks, gum, cookies, chips, baby gifts, stamps, newspapers, toys, games, greeting cards, magazines, books, sundries and many other unique gifts. Fresh flower arrangements are available 24 hours a day from two vending machines. One is located in the Tower lobby across from the glass elevators, and the second machine is located across the elevators near the North Lobby entrance.

Interpreters

Tomball Regional Medical Center is committed to providing high quality interpreter service and related communications equipment and service for our deaf and limited-English speaking patients. Please notify the registrar upon arrival if you are in need of our Interpreter service.

Providing medical care when a language barrier exists is a challenging endeavor. Our interpreter services strive to provide screened and talented medical interpreters to ensure that our physicians are able to perform their job and that our patients receive the excellent care that is expected.

Organ Donation

The Hospital works with LifeGift Organ Donation Center to ensure that all families are given the opportunity to give the gift of life, when applicable. If a patient dies or is declared brain dead, it is possible that someone from LifeGift may contact the family about the donation of organs and/or tissues. We would appreciate you taking the time to speak with these trained professionals about this important decision. Patient Education Channels

Patients can access TRH Patient Education Channels on the televisions located in patient rooms. Patient Education Channels provide patients access to information regarding cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stress, and other healthcare topics.

Patient Relations

The Patient Relations Department is available to assist you with any questions, difficulties, concerns or grievances that you may have during your stay with us. You may contact Patient Relations by dialing 281.401.7605. Please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

If your call is an emergency, call the main hospital number 281.401.7500 and ask the operator to page the Resource Nurse.

Social Services

The Social Services Department provides counseling and referral services for patients and their families that may need help to address social, emotional or economic problems. Issues may include assistance with crisis situations, adjustment to changes in health and functioning, questions regarding advanced directives, and referrals to community resources. You may contact Social Services by dialing 281.401.7744.

Volunteers

The energetic people dressed in cherry pink and white and also candy stripes are our hospital volunteers. They are our friends and neighbors from the community who provide those supplement services that contribute to total patient care and make the patient’s stay more pleasant. Because of their love for the hospital, they freely give their time and talents.
