Tomball Regional Hospital

Patients & Visitors

Patient Safety

We believe that patient identification is essential in providing a safe health care environment. For this reason, our staff will be asking for your name and age before starting any tests and procedures as well as administering any medications.

Patient safety is a priority of the staff, and our goal is to ensure that your hospital stay is a safe one. Please assist us by cooperating with the staff, obeying your instructions, using your call light for assistance or help, reporting any safety hazards and encouraging visitors to obey the rules.

We want you to be safety conscious during your stay. If you are unsure about a medication or procedure, please ask questions. The staff is ready and willing to assist you; your safety and health are our main concerns.

Handguns

State law prohibits carrying a handgun on hospital premises. Pursuant to Section 30.06, Penal Code (trespass of holder of license to carry a concealed handgun), a person licensed under article 4413 (29cc), Revised Statutes (concealed handgun law) may not enter this property with a concealed handgun.

Personal Appliances

For reasons of safety, no personal electrical appliances such as hair dryers, hot curlers, radios, televisions or heating pads are permitted in patient areas. Such items are dangerous and may not be compatible with services provided by the hospital.

Designated Smoking Areas

Cigarettes and smoking materials are not sold at Tomball Regional Medical Center. Patients, visitors and staff may only smoke in the designated smoking areas.

Fire Drill

For your protection, the hospital conducts fire and disaster drills regularly. If a drill occurs during your stay, please remain in your room and do not become alarmed. The Hospital is a fire-resistant building, and the staff is trained in fire protection.

Cellular Phones and other Electronic Devices

In an effort to ensure the safety and well being of all patients, please do not use cellular phones or other electronic devices in the hospital. Cellular phones, cordless phones, citizen band radios, as well as equipment and games operated by radio remote control are not permitted for use inside the hospital because they may interfere with medical equipment. Cellular phones must be turned completely off because the devices can transmit even in standby mode. If you must use your cellular phone, please do so outside of the hospital entrances. Thank you for your cooperation.
