All proceeds from event to benefit the new “at-the-bedside” bar-coding for patient safety. According to The Institute of Medicine, 98,000 Americans die needlessly every year due to medical errors. It has been estimated that more than 50,000 of those tragic deaths are attributed to errors of medication administration. Your support will go towards enhancing patient safety at Tomball Regional Medical Center. Specifically, Tomball Regional Hospital will use all available funds from tonight to help purchase a bedside medication verification (BMV) system.
